Hyderabad: 2 women held with forged visas

The women did not have clearance from the PoE so the agent forged the work visas as tourist visas and sent it to them.

Hyderabad: The RGI Airport police on Tuesday arrested two women hailing from Andhra Pradesh for trying to flee to Kuwait using forged visas.

According to RGIA police, Jyothi and Sujatha, both natives of Kadapa district of AP approached a travel agent seeking assistance to go to Kuwait and work there.

The agent also put the women in touch with his associate in Kuwait.

The agent, who is based out of Kuwait managed to get employment for Jyothi and Sujatha and sent them the tickets for travel.

The women did not have clearance from the PoE (Protector of Emigrants) so the agent forged the work visas as tourist visas and sent it to them.

The police said that the immigration officials found out about the fraud and complained against the women.

A case was registered against them and they were remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday.
