Hyderabad: A teenager’s addiction to watching movies late at night on his mobile phone caused his electrician father to chop off the boy’s wrist. In the early hours of Monday, while everyone in the house was asleep, Qayyum chopped off Khaled's right wrist.
The boy woke up screaming and was rushed to a private hospital at Chaitanyapuri, where he is undergoing treatment. Doctors say the wrist is almost severed from the rest of the hand and there is little chance that Khaled will be able to use it.
Meanwhile, Qayyum has been arrested.
