Two homes: Cash, valuables stolen in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: In two robberies reported in K.R. Puram and Kodigehalli police limits, thieves have decamped with cash and gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees. In KR Puram, thieves broke into a woman’s house on Devasandra Main Road in Vinayaka Nagar and escaped with 200 gm of gold ornaments and cash kept in the almirah. The victim Vinobha Babu left her house for some work around 4 am Sunday.
The thieves may have entered the house soon after she left, police said. The incident came to light when she returned around 7 pm and saw the door open. On entering the bedroom she found the almirah door broken open and valuables missing. She lodged a complaint with KR Puram police. In a similar incident, thieves stole with gold ornaments and foreign currency from a doctor’s house in Shankar Nagar in Kodigehalli. Police said the thieves gained entry by cutting the bars of the kitchen window. The incident took place on Saturday night when the victim, Dr Shashi, went out with his family. It came to light when they returned. A case has been registered.
