Rowdy out on bail hacked to death near Yalachanahalli Metro Station
Bengaluru: A rowdy, who had recently come out of jail on bail, was hacked to death in broad daylight on Monday by his opponent near Yalachanahalli Metro Station on Monday.
The deceased, Kumar (30) alias Pichu Kumar, was a member of the notorious Cycle Ravi gang. Kumar is suspected to have been killed over an old rivalry that his and opponent gang had over a murder eight months ago.
The police said that Kumar was walking near Yalachanahalli Metro Station when four to five members launched an attack with machetes and killed him on the spot. Kumar was in jail on charges of murdering a financier along with Cycle Ravi and Bakery Raghu. While Kumar and Bakery Raghu were arrested and lodged in different jails, Cycle Ravi is still absconding.
Listed as a rowdy-sheeter at the Banashankari police station, Kumar indulged in many criminal activities and was collecting hafta taking the names of Cycle Ravi and Bakery Raghu. Police suspect that the attack was carried out by the men from Avinash’s gang, and it was being planned for a week.
The involvement of Harish and Kulla Rizwan gang is suspected in Kumar’s murder. The police claimed that they have gathered crucial clues about the attackers and soon will arrest them.
