Hyderabad: A 30-year-old security guard at Begumpet Metro Rail station along with his accomplice were arrested by the Mahankali police for stealing Rs 2 lakh from a bus passenger on Thursday.
The accused were identified as Abdul Kadeer, 30, a security guard at Begumpet station and his associate, Mohammed Sadik, 29, a resident of Moula Ali.
“On December 28, They boarded an RTC bus from Bata bus stop near General Bazar and targeted a passenger, Krishna Reddy. By diverting his attention, they stole Rs 2 lakh which he was carrying,” the police said. They were remanded to judicial custody.
