Bengaluru: The Byappanahalli police arrested three people on charges of murdering a 24-year-old youth. The arrested, Sundaresh, 38, Muniraj, 21, and Sudarshan, 23, have been accused of murdering Shivakumar. All the three and the deceased were residents of Nagawarapalya and were labourers.
The incident took place on Friday at a restaurant in Nagawarapalya. Shivakumar was at the restaurant when the accused came to the restaurant for a takeout. All of them were drunk. Shivakumar allegedly picked up an argument with them and allegedly tried to assault them. The trio took out a dagger and stabbed him.
“The accused fled the spot, while Shivakumar was admitted to a hospital. The accused were arrested within 30 minutes. An attempt to murder case was registered first and as Shivakumar died on Monday, we have taken up a murder case," the Byappanahalli police said.
