Lucknow: A 17-year-old boy has been remanded in a juvenile home for allegedly beating his stepmother to death after she refused to give him the pocket money he asked for.
According to reports, he incident occurred in Ujjain’s Mahdipur area. The boy asked his 45-year-old step mother, Dhapu Bai, for a pocket money of Rs 50, which she refused. Enraged, he assaulted her with a stick, killing her on the spot. The boy’s father Balram was sleeping nearby, but the juvenile assaulted his father as well, before fleeing the spot.
The police have apprehended the juvenile, but reports claimed that he refused to repent, adding that he 'sent his stepmother to God' after she denied him the pocket money.
