Hyderabad: Madhapur police have registered case against the computer operator of Ambedkar University for diverting varsity’s funds to his account. An FIR has been registered under sections 409 and 420 of IPC against Y.V. Rajeswar Rao. Investigation is going on and the police are checking his bank statements of the last three years. The Vice Chancellor of the university K. Sitarama Rao has constituted an inquiry committee and has directed the committee to submit a report on the scam as soon as possible.
The committee during its preliminary investigation identified that Rajeswar Rao in the last 12 months, had purchased a Baleno Car (Maruti Suziki make) and a house in Annojiguda near Ghatkesar. The committee further identified that he was constructing a house in Guntur.
