Hyderabad: The conspiracy behind the Eamcet II question paper leak took place at the Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi.
As per the remand report submitted by the TS CID, S. Rajagopal Reddy collected the leaked question papers from the main accused Iqbal, who was staying at Karnataka Bhavan.
The report said that Rajagopal who was arrested took Rs 1 crore from accused Vishnuvrdhan as advance for giving the leaked question paper and keys to the students. He kept Rs 80 lakh in a bank locker which is in the name of room boy Shankar and hid the balance Rs 20 lakh at his home in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, TS CID arrested two more agents on Thursday for Eamcet II leakage. Gudipalli Chandrashekar Reddy of Medak helped four students, while Shaik Shakeera of Hyderabad helped two students and flew them to Kolkata for practicing the test.
The remand report said Rajagopal had admitted that Guddoo of Mumbai and Shaik Nishad of Karnataka hatched the conspiracy with Iqbal at the Karnataka Bhavan, when Rajagopal met him to collect the leaked question papers.
The report said four students, Gowtam Reddy, Manideep, Shwetha and Ananya met agent Shaikh Ramesh and accused A. Venkataramaiah, who paid Rs 35 lakh to Ramesh as advance for these four students.
On July 7, the four students were sent to Pune for a practice camp held by Ramakrishna and his friends at a secret location. They returned to Hyderabad the next day.
Meanwhile, police said that G. ChandraShekar who was arrested on Thursday arranged four students and Shakeera arranged two students. All the six students were flown to Kolkata on July 7 by Chandrashekar and three other agents.
"At a hotel in Kolkata they were given practice tests with two leaked TS Eamcet II 2016 question papers and they returned to Hyderabad on July 8 night," an official from TS CID said.
Chandrashekar also collected signed blank cheques and photocopies of SSC and Intermediate certificates of the six students and gave them to an agent who organised the practice camp at Kolkata.
