Hyderabad: A guardroom being built by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s aide Kambhampati Rammohan Rao in Jubilee Hills was razed by the GHMC for encroaching on the road.
Assistant city planner Shekar Reddy said, “An illegal guardroom was being constructed adjacent to the residence of the ex-MP, which was falling on the road margin. The GHMC had launched an app for citizens to complain about encroachments and this was one of the complaints. I visited the site and the demolition was carried out under my supervision. The room was constructed without permission.” Asked by this correspondent, Mr Rao. AP Special Representative in New Delhi, acknowledged that no permission had been sought.
