Man critical after attack in Koramangala

The condition of the victim, identified as Manoj, is said to be critical.

Bengaluru: A 22-year-old man is battling for his life after he was brutally attacked by an armed gang in Rajendranagar in Koramangala on Sunday.
The incident was captured by a witness on his mobile phone and uploaded on social media sites which went viral.

The condition of the victim, identified as Manoj, is said to be critical. The police said that Karthik and six others attacked Manoj with machetes in broad daylight near Ambedkar statue on 80 Feet Road in Koramangala near Regional Passport Office. The accused, Karthik, had a trivial row with Manoj a few days ago following which he had threatened Manoj for attacking Karthik's friend's father.

On Sunday, the man Manoj attacked died and Manoj too attended the funeral. Karthik who was also on the spot attacked Manoj blaming him for the death. The Adugodi police have arrested Karthik and six others, charging them with attempt to murder, and remanded them to judicial custody.
