THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is learnt to have sought a report from state police chief Loknath Behera on the circumstances in which a case was registered against the theatre owner of Edappal who reported the sexual abuse of a child.
According to sources, the issue could obviously be raised by the opposition in the Assembly on Tuesday and hence the Chief Minister sought a report immediately. The state police chief asked Thrissur-range IG M R Ajith Kumar to give a report in this regard. He had also sought legal opinion of the director general of prosecution on the matter, said sourcess
