Bengaluru: BDA official assaulted, 3 held

One of the accused Raju (62) was said to be annoyed with repeated approach to BDA and vent his anger while talking to the official.

Bengaluru: Three people, including a senior citizen, were arrested by the Sheshadripuram police for causing obstruction to a BDA official from discharging his duty.

According to police, Raju (62) and his children Shashi and Rani went to BDA office on Friday to inquire about the allotment of land to them. During the conversation with BDA official Basavaraju, the trio allegedly assaulted the officials after they entered into a heated argument.

It is said that BDA had allotted a site to Raju at a place a few years ago. Owing to some problems, BDA had assured him a site at a different place. Raju was said to be annoyed with repeated approach to BDA and vent his anger while talking to the official.
