Hyderabad: Around 24 youths aged between 18 and 30 were picked up Cyberabad SHE teams in the last two weeks. Five of them have been sent to judicial custody. Thirty persons who were picked up by SHE teams were counselled on Saturday.
Sixty SHE teams spread across Cyberabad nabbed 30 persons from May 25 to June 4. They were found harassing women in different ways. The arrested included a minor boy, three persons aged between 30 and 40 and one aged above 40.
Cases were registered against five persons and they were produced before court and sent to judicial remand. Others were counselled in the presence of their relatives and were strictly instructed to keep away from such activities again.
In 2016, so far 376 persons were picked up for harassing women. Of them 21 were minors and 314 people in the 18 to 30 category. Cases were registered against 67 persons.
