Ayesha Meera murder case: Joint commissioner of Armed Reserve headquarters questioned
Hyderabad: The CBI on Thursday questioned Joint commissioner of City Armed Reserve headquarters, Hyderabad, M. Srinivasulu in connection with the Ayesha Meera murder case. He was the then Nandigama DSP in East Godavari.
During his stint as DSP, several rape and attempt to rape cases were reported in Nandigama, but cases were dropped taking police by shock. Police who were on a hunt to nab suspects concluded that the suspect could have been arrested and verified the remand prisoners. During this process, the accused admitted to the offence and he was then arrested.
The CBI questioned the official about how the accused was linked to Ayesha’s case and also other cases, which he had confessed to, as claimed by the police. Srinivasulu’s statement was also recorded in connection with the ongoing investigation.
