Vijayawada: A youth killed his alcoholic father unable to bear his harassment in Guntur on Saturday.
Old Guntur police station CI, S. Srinivasa Rao said that Gogisetty Srinivasa Rao alias Sambaiah, 44, was working as a lorry driver and living in Guntur. His son, Gogisetti Kishore, was living in Bengaluru and he came home recently.
Kishore tried to make his father stop consuming liquor as he used to harass his family members in an inebriated state, but in vain.
On Saturday, Sambaiah’s relatives gathered at his house and Kishore, who went out, returned home at the same time. On inquiry, he found that Sambaiah attacked his mother and so their relatives came to rescue her.
In a fit of rage, Kishore went into the house and entered into an altercation with his father. At one point, Kishore hit his father with a pestle and the latter died on the spot due to severe head injury.
On info, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to GGH for autopsy. The police nabbed Kishore and began investigation after registering a case.
