Hyderabad: In a shocking incident under the police station limits of Bachupally, a man pushed his wife off a second floor balcony and then committed suicide by hanging himself.
The deceased was identified as G. Gopi, aged 27 years, a private sector employee. A senior police officer from Bachupally said, “Gopi and Lakshmi were married to each other for the last seven years. Fights between them started only a year back, when the wife had lodged a complaint with the Bolarum police station against her husband. An arrest had been pending for the deceased. On March 31, 2018, he went to his residence in a drunken condition and pushed his wife after an argument at his Bolarum residence.”
He further added, “After pushing his wife, he knew that he would be caught, so, he came to Bachupally and committed suicide by hanging himself in the jungle behind a local transport company.”
The official also said that Lakshmi is undergoing treatment at ESI Hospital, Earragadda and is recovering. The husband’s body was recovered on Wednesday in a decomposing state.
