Hyderabad: The incident took place swiftly, the crime as devastating as it was mystifying. Three unknown men zoomed up in an Activa scooter, wielding a knife and stabbed a passer-by several times before fleeing with '3.5 lakh. The crime took place in Chaderghat under Afzalgunj police station limits.
A complaint was received from the victim, Mohd Mubashir, a resident of Santosh Nagar and an employee of Drive-In car decor, where he stated that three men with knives approached him, attacked him and later snatched his cash and sped away. The perpetrators made a 2-inch hole with a single stab.
According to the police, the three men, two on a bike and one on an Activa, approached him as he was coming from Koti. “He was carrying '3.50 lakh with him, which the men snatched after stabbing him once, digging a hole 2 inches deep,” said the Police Inspector of Afzalgunj, Gnanendra Reddy.
The men fled after leaving him there. The locals rushed him to hospital. Cops have procured some images of the deed on the CCTV cameras in the vicinity.
