Bengaluru: Two minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted in separate incidents reported in Sanjaynagar and Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Friday. In Sanjaynagar, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by an unidentified person.
The girl’s parents are footpath vegetable vendors and the girl is studying in eighth standard. The alleged incident took place on February 25 around 5 pm. An unidentified man, who came home, reportedly told that food was left in a wedding and she could get it if she went with him.
Trusting him, the girl went with the man on his bike. The accused allegedly took her to an isolated place near Rajanukunte, where he allegedly raped her. Later, he dropped her near her house around 9 pm and escaped, the police said.
“The girl did not reveal the incident to her parents fearing consequences. On Friday morning, she developed some health problem and when her parents took her to a doctor, the incident came to light. Later, the parents filed a complaint. We are on the lookout for the accused,” the Sanjaynagar police said.
In Rajarajeshwari Nagar, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by an unidentified man. The alleged incident took place on Wednesday evening when the girl, a third standard student, was playing in front of her house.
The accused approached her and lured her with chocolates and took her on his bike to an isolated place on Mysuru Road, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
