Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man was beaten to death with liquor bottles by his friends, following a tiff while consuming alcohol at Alinagar in Balapur late on Sunday night.
His friends tried to dispose of the body, but left it in the middle of the road and fled, said the police.
The victim Hussain Bin Ahmed Sadi, a resident of Balapur was at a party along with his friends Ifthekar, Aziz and Chand Pahilwan at Ifthekar’s house at Alinagar in Shaheennagar under Balapur police station limits.
They consumed alcohol unti late in the night. While drinking, they had a tiff, which led to a quarrel between Hussain and Aziz.
Aziz was enraged with Hussain’s behaviour and picked up an empty alcohol bottle and hit Hussain’s head, resulting in his instant death due to severe head injuries, said Balapur inspector V. Saidulu.
“The incident happened during the intervening night of February 3, and 4. On Monday morning, the accused trio tried to dispose of the body. They had covered his body in a blanket to throw it somewhere, but ended up leaving it in the middle of the road and fled from the spot. A probe is on to find the reason for the murder,” said the inspector.
On receiving information, a team rushed to the spot and recovered the body, and sent it for an autopsy at Osmania General Hospital.
The room where the incident took place had blood stains everywhere. A case of murder has been registered and the suspects are being questioned, he said.
