Hyderabad: Three persons died by suicide in separate cases in the city since Wednesday, police said on Thursday. The victims included a tech industry professional suffering from sinus issues, a woman and the son of a constable.
In one case, 26-year-old tech worker V. Sri Harsha died by suicide at the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge early on Thursday. Harsha had left his PG hostel in Serilingampally at 11 pm on Wednesday after informing his hostel mates that he was not able to breathe properly, Madhapur police said.
Security guards at the cable bridge informed the police of a man in the lake. By the time police arrived the victim had drowned. Police retrieved his body with the help of divers.
Harsha was a native of Eluru, His father V. Sri Venkatesh said that Harsha was suffering from sinus issues which was not cured even after surgery.
In a separate incident, Mathews, 38, the son of a Cyberabad inspector, died by suicide at this house in Gagillapur, Dundigal police said. According to the police, the victim had disputes with his father Mathews Koshy.
In a separate case, KPHB police said Suncha Maria, 24, who had attempted suicide on January 1 at her house succumbed on Thursday at a private hospital. Police said her boyfriend, Rajesh, had refused to marry Maria, security guard at a private firm.
Maria was in love with Rajesh for eight months and had decided to get married. She was upset when Rajesh started an affair with another girl and refused to marry her. Police have booked Rajesh.
