Hyderabad: Car broken open, Rs 20 lakh DD stolen
Hyderabad: Unidentified suspects broke the windshield of a car owned by an assistant MVI of Attapur on Wednesday night and stole the music system. They also looted a demand draft worth Rs 20 lakh and important official documents from the vehicle.
The Rajendranagar police, which is investigating the case, had traced the documents and handed them over to the victim.
According to the police, Mr Amarnath is working as assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in the enforcement wing at the Attapur RTA office.
On Wednesday, a farewell party was organised for one of his seniors at SBR Function Hall on PVNR Expressway.
As there was no space inside, he parked his car outside the function all. Around 9.30 pm, when he came out, he found that the rear windshield was broken, the bag containing official documents missing and the music system stolen from the vehicle. “The bag containing the documents were traced near the Musi Rriver. All the documents were intact and were handed over to the complainant,” said Mr Shekar Reddy, SI, Rajendranagar. The case is under investigation.
