Bengaluru: 20-year-old youth slashes wrist as 40-year-old lover ignores him

Bengaluru: Love, indeed, has no boundaries and age is just a number for those who fall in love. A 20-year-old youth, who was head over heels for a 40-year-old woman, tried to commit suicide recently after she stopped receiving his calls and blocked him from her WhatsApp list. The woman is a principal at a private school and the man, Tarun, is a receptionist at the same institution. The love story between the two was a secret till he attempted suicide by slashing his wrist.The year-old love story had reached its peak and Tarun even had dreams of marrying the woman, who has a daughter of his age.

The principal, wife of a businessman based in Kerala, spent a lot of time with Tarun, going on rides on his bike and also at her house when her daughter was away. But the affair soon became a burden for the principal as Tarun insisted on marrying her.She started ignoring him over the last three months. When she blocked him on WhatsApp and did not answer his calls, a dejected Tarun tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrist. It is said that he had slashed his wrists thrice earlier when she had stopped answering his calls.Tarun is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
