Hyderabad: British national held for misbehaving with woman aboard flight

Hyderabad: A 60-year-old British national who allegedly tried to molest a woman aboard a Silk Airlines flight was arrested by RGI Airport police on Monday. Barry Antony was drunk when the incident happened.

Police said Barry Antony was coming to Hyderabad in Silk Airlines Flight MI 472.
He is in the technical marketing business and frequently visits Welding Alloys Tubular Wiring Private Limited, a company in Nacharam, for promoting his company’s products and also to train employees in the latest technology.

The victim, a 35-year-old Indian origin HR executive, based in Singapore, was also in the same flight and was seated next to him. She was travelling to Hyderabad to attend a conference at a reputed educational Institution.

“Antony was heavily drunk when he boarded the flight and he tried to molest the woman while on board,” RGI Airport SI V. Srinivas said. Based on a complaint from the victim, police registered a case of using criminal force to outrage the modesty of a woman and arrested Antony. He was produced in court and remanded.
