Visakhapatnam: 12 accused held for murder
Visakhapatnam: The city police has cracked the murder of L. Raju, who was brutally stabbed to death in front of a bar and restaurant in Marripalem area on August 25. The police arrested 12 members of a gang, including the main accused Tarun, Vinay and Satish.
ACP (North) Lanka Arjun and inspector of Airport Police Station N. Prabhakar said that one of the accused Vinay, armed with a knife, after consuming alcohol was creating nuisance near the bar on August 25. A few locals, including Raju, objected to it and tried to stop him. Vinay called his friends and 11 of them including Tarun and Satish armed with knives landed at the spot and stabbed Raju, a taxi driver to death.
The cops seized three knives, six bikes and 10 mobile phones from the gang. All the three main accused Tarun, Vinay and Satish have cases of attempt to murder pending against them.
