Female lecturer stabbed to death in Madanapalle
TIRUPATI: A 35-year-old female lecturer was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in Madanapalle town of Annamayya district on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Ruksana, worked as a lecturer at a local degree college.
Her body was discovered in a pool of blood near a function hall in the town.
According to preliminary reports, Ruksana was the first wife of Khadir Ahmed. As she did not bear any children, Khadir entered into a second marriage with Ayesha.
However, Ruksana recently gave birth to a daughter. This led to Khadir reconciling with his first wife. Ruksana’s family members allege that this change in circumstances might have triggered a series of events that led to her killing.
They have informed police about their suspicions.
On receiving information, Madanapalle DSP K. Kesappa and his team inspected the crime scene and shifted the victim's body for post-mortem.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
