Hyderabad: Four members of a family were injured in an accident in Nagole on Wednesday night, when a speeding cab coming from the opposite direction rammed into their car.
The injured persons were admitted to a private hospital. The injured are Y. Manideep, 34, Y. Chandrakala, 54, Y. Pradeep, 32, and Y. Hasini, 26, all residents of Nagole.
Police said the victims were on their way home after attending a family function in Uppal. While they were taking a U-turn at Snehapuri X Roads, a speeding car hired from Ola Cabs rammed into their vehicle from the left. The victims said that their indicators were on and that the accident was caused by the irresponsibility of the cab driver who was speeding.
The victims were rushed to hospital where Hasini is said to be critical. The other three are recovering.
Police registered a case for inflicting injuries against the cab driver who was identified as Srikanth from Balanagar.
