Hyderabad: Suspecting that his wife was having an affair, a 35-year-old man hanged himself from the ceiling of his house at Rakshapuram in Santoshnagar police station limits on Monday. The man, P. Gopal, had married Jyothi, 28, of Mahbubnagar, 15 years back and had a son.
“The couple had disputes over petty issues and since some weeks Gopal was suspecting that his wife was having an extramarital affair with one Raju, a resident of Mahbubnagar, and started harassing her,” said inspector M. Shankar. “Since three days Jyothi and her son were staying in her native place. On Monday morning Gopal hung himself,” added the inspector. Police booked a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC.
