Six arrested for cashier's murder in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Six persons, including four students and two employees of the petrol bunk, who allegedly killed the cashier of the bunk in Kukatpally on Wednesday, were arrested on Friday. Four others involved in the attack are absconding.
Police said that on Wednesday night Shiva Prasad, 18, a degree student, Anish Kumar, 19, an engineering student and a 17-year-old ITI student, all residents of Moosapet, came to the HP petrol bunk at Sumitranagar for refilling their bikes.
Manager Raju Yadav refused to sell them petrol as the bunk was closed. Seeing them, one of the employees, Balram, 22, a resident of Moosapet, asked Raju Yadav to give them petrol. When Raju refused, an argument broke out and they left saying they will come back.
Later, Balram, his brother Krishna, 24, and the three boys came to the bunk again. Meanwhile, Anish Kumar called his friend Nikhil, 19, a degree student, to come to the petrol bunk along with their friends Pradeep, Narender, Shekar and Raju. They came armed with sticks.
Krishna attacked a bunk employee named Narsimha Reddy and he fled. They later attacked another employee Gore and he also fled. “Seeing this, Raju Yadav came out of his office. Balram and Nikhil attacked him and pushed him to the ground and the others started beating him.
Sangameshwar, rushed to Raju’s rescue, but they attacked him and when he fell down, they kicked him on the chest and stomach,” inspector Purushotham said.
When Sangameshwar became unconscious, they fled. Sangameshwar was declared dead at a hospital.
Based on clues, police arrested Balram, Nikhil, Anish, Shiva Prasad, Krishna and the minor boy from their homes and produced before court. A hunt is on for Pradeep, Narender, Shekar and Raju.
