Hyderabad: Unidentified persons made away with gold jewellery weighing one kilogram that was kept in an almirah in a trader’s apartment at Shantibagh Colony, SR Nagar police said on Tuesday. There were no signs of a break-in.
Police said the gold was safely kept in the bedroom on the second floor flat, was opened using a key. House owner K. Ram, noticed the theft on Monday night and lodged a complaint.
Police said a joint family lived in the apartment. “There was no breaking of the main door lock. We are questioning the domestic help as the complainant mentioned her name as a suspect. We are also questioning residents,” SR Nagar detective inspector P.V. Rama Prasada Rao said.
