Hyderabad: A 70-year-old guard was killed by his colleague for forcing him to iron his clothes in Jeedimetla on Saturday. Police said that Simhachalam, 70, who was drunk, forced his colleague Ramu to iron his clothes. Later, an argument broke out and Ramu kicked Simhachalam in the stomach.
Simhachalam suffered a serious injury and died while undergoing treatment.
Inspector A. Chandrashekar said Simahachalam was working as a guard at Kavya Residency Apartments in Chintal. The accused Ramu, 40, was also working in the same complex as a guard-cum-dhobi. On Saturday night, a drunk Simhachalam told Ramu to iron his clothes and Ramu said he would do it later.
“There was an argument and Ramu kicked Simhachalam. Ramu‘s shoes injured Simhachalam,” the inspector said. Apartment residents took him to hospital. Doctors said the kick triggered bleeding. A hunt is on to nab Ramu.
