Hyderabad: Dead bull dog found with neck cracked
Hyderabad: In another inhuman act against animals, a healthy exotic breed, a bull dog, was found with his neck twisted, on the Alwal main road. The animal was spotted by a girl while on her way to office on Friday morning.
The pet dog seem to have lost its way and got killed. Volunteers of animal welfare department have not been able to find its owner. Neither could they identify any accused. Thus, no post mortem has been done.
Shravya Nandini, resident of Sainikpuri, an eyewitness to the incident, said, “While I was travelling through the Rashtrapati Nilayam Road, Bolarum, I found the dog on the other side of the road. Initially, I thought he was just lying, but when I moved closer to him, I found his neck twisted 90 degrees. I immediately called for volunteers from People for Animals. It was lying in a very abnormal condition, his neck was completely twisted. It was not a normal death".
A missing complaint was lodged at the Bolarum police station by the eyewitness. The local police then contacted the municipal corporation’s veterinary wing, which later buried the dog in Bolarum. A preliminary investigation revealed that the dog might have been tossed from a moving car or abandoned it after its death.
