Sanjay was jovial, loved cricket, says friend
Hyderabad: “Sanjay had no enemies and was not involved in any fights. He was a peaceful man,” said Sanjay’s elder brother Sandeep. Sanjay was a good entertainer at home and workplace and loved playing cricket. He never interfered in others' affairs. We are wondering what made them kill him,” said one his childhood friends.
Sanjay was the youngest in the family and has an elder brother. His father Surender works for a textile showroom on RP Road and his mother is a housewife. Sandeep also works for a private firm. Sanjay completed engineering from Aurora Engineering College and later joined Sutherland Global Services.
Sandeep said that when he called Sanjay a few minutes before the murder he said that he was on way home and would reach soon. "We are still in shock. He never interfered in others business. How can someone kill him like this?" he added. His friends said that last Sunday they had played a T20 cricket match with a local team at Peerzadiguda and Sanjay scored 25 runs, but they lost the game.
When his friend Manoj called him on Wednesday night to discuss preparations for next Sunday’s match Sanjay did not answer. Sanjay was dropped at Punjagutta X Roads at around 3.30 am, but how he came till Parade Grounds is foxing the police. After talking to his brother and saying that he was coming home what made him go towards Swapnalok remains a mystery to the police.
“We could track his location till the time he spoke to his brother but after that we are trying to trace his movements. None of his family, friends and colleagues has a clue for the reason behind the murder,” said north zone DCP N. Prakash Reddy.
