Hyderabad: Woman's murder still a mystery
Hyderabad: The brutal murder of a pregnant woman in Kondapur on Tuesday continues to be a mystery. Initial investigation by the police had revealed that the deceased had snacks at a Udupi hotel in Gachibowli two days before her body was found. So far the cops have analysed around 100 CCTV cameras in one kilometer radius around the hotel, but in vain. Now the police has enlisted the help of three experts who have made the portrait parley of the woman.
The Cyberabad police have already announced Rs 1 lakh reward to anyone who gives any clues about the woman or leads to the murder.
Since the body was found in pieces, it was not possible for the police to release a complete picture of the deceased. But the police has released pictures of her clothes, bangles and toe rings and these were circulated widely in the media and on different social media platforms. Cops have also started searching in hotels and public places.
The staff at the Udupi hotel in Gachibowli identified the clothes and told cops that the woman had come to their hotel on January 28 and ordered a plate of Idli and fruit juice. After having her food, she walked out of the hotel. This was the first breakthrough for the police. Though there were CCTV cameras installed in the hotel, they were under repair and could not capture images of the woman.
Further, to verify her movements, cops filtered around 100 CCTV cameras fixed at various locations within a kilometer distance surrounding the hotel, but could not get any result.
A senior cop said that with no option left, three experts from the state CID had been called to make portrait parley of the woman. “Very soon we will release them so that people can identify the woman and give some information,” he said.
