Mumbai: The lawyer of actor Tanushree Datta, Nitin Satpute, was on Friday booked in a molestation case by the Kherwadi police after he allegedly hurled abuses and derogatory words at a 47-year-old woman.
The police said that the alleged incident took place on Friday, when the complainant and Satpute were at the state women’s commission headquarters in Kalanagar, Bandra (east). The officials said that the duo was discussing the construction of a garden where children could play. However, there was a difference of opinion between them and they started arguing. The lawyer then alleged hurled abuses at her on a phone call, and she approached the state women’s commission in this regard and later lodged a complaint with the police.
In her statement to the police, the woman stated that after the meeting when they were leaving, Satpute allegedly came near her and used abusive language, the official said.
