Bengaluru: Ambulance driver held for drunk driving

The Halsoor Gate traffic police have sent his driving license to the RTO for a three-month suspension with fine.

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old ambulance driver, who was driving recklessly, was caught for drunk driving and for using the siren when there were no patients in his vehicle, on Nrupathunga Road on Friday night.

The accused, Yeshwanth, is attached to a private hospital. The Halsoor Gate traffic police said that Yeshwanth was going to HSR Layout to pick up a body and was heavily drunk. When the police questioned him, he told them that he had to drink to tolerate the body's smell.

The Halsoor Gate traffic police have sent his driving license to the RTO for a three-month suspension with fine.
