iPhone stolen at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport
Hyderabad: A US-based housewife who landed at RGI Airport on Friday lost her iPhone. Suguna Kannala filed a complaint saying that she had kept her phone in the pay phone booth at the airport while calling a relative.
Police said Suguna Kannala, hailing from Hyderabad, went to the pay phone in the arrival section to call her brother-in-law K. Rambabu. To find his number, she took out her iPhone 6S mobile. She placed her phone on the pay phone booth’s desk. After the call, she left without collecting her phone.
A few minutes later when she realised that she had forgotten her phone at the booth she rushed back and found her phone missing. Police found the pay phone booth was located beyond the coverage area of CCTV cameras. “We have written to airport security,” RGIA sub inspector V. Srinivas said.
