Chennai: Women gang loots silk sarees

Chennai: The city police are thoroughly checking for a women gang who robbed off six silk sarees from a textile shop at Broadway on Thursday evening.

According to the police, a group of women posing as costumers had visited a co – optex store under the pretext of buying sarees. The store staffs after closing the sale for the day were checking the stocks and found six silk sarees missing.

 

When the manager checked the CCTV footages, he was shocked to notice the group of women behaving unusually.The group of Women standing in a row while one was found diverting store staff on price and second women was found looting the saree and passing to the third women who hid it inside the bag.A complaint was lodged with Esplanade police and the CCTV footages were handed over to them.
