Anti Corruption Bureau clears Siddaramaiah's son of wrong doing

RTI activist S Bhaskaran had filed the complaint with the ACB in May 2016.

Bengaluru: Giving clean chit to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Dr. S. Yatheendra, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has closed a case filed against him seeking investigation into illegal awarding of tender to set up a private medical lab to Matrix Imaging Solutions India Private Ltd, a company for which Dr Yatheendra was a Director. RTI activist S. Bhaskaran had filed the complaint with the ACB in May 2016. In a reply to the complainant, the ACB has stated that the case has been closed as the allegations made in the compliant was not established during the course of inquiry.

Citing that there was no evidence to prove the allegations made against Dr Yatheendra, ACB has informed the complainant that the case has been closed. Bhaskaran, however, alleged that the inquiry was conducted without recording his statement and he would move the High Court. In his complaint, he had alleged that the tender was illegally awarded to Matrix to establish a diagnostic centre under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) on the premises of the Victoria Hospital.
