Hyderabad: An Odisha man attempted to murder another man after getting into a brawl in an inebriated condition on Monday morning under Shamshabad police station limits. The accused was identified as Jeevan, a worker at a fast food shop in Narkuda.

“Jeevan and Ramakanth, partied on Sunday night and got into a minor brawl after getting drunk. However, it was limited to just a verbal fight. On Monday morning, after consuming alcohol again, they got into a heated argument and in the spur of the moment, Jeevan swung a knife at Ramakanth’s neck, causing a cut,” said a Sub-Inspector at Shamshabad police station.

Both their families are natives of Odisha and they are working for a measly pay in the city. Based on a complaint, an attempt to murder case was booked against Jeevan and Ramakanth was shifted to Osmania Hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
