Youth gets 20-day jail for shouting at patrol cops

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old Pagadala Pranav was sentenced to 20 days of imprisonment for misbehaving with the cops, abusing them and creating nuisance on the road, while walking his pets near the Old MLA Quarters area under the Narayanguda police station limits four days ago.

Narayanaguda station house officer U. Chandra Shekar said that a case was registered against Pravan and he was produced before the V Special Metropolitan Magistrate at the Manoranjan Complex, Nampally and the court awarded him 20 days imprisonment.

On August 30, when a patrol vehicle of the Narayanguda police station was patrolling near Old MLA Quarters, Pranav was walking his two dogs on the road. The patrol vehicle which was halted on the road, started when Pravan was crossing the road.

Fearing the vehicle might hit his dogs, he shouted at the cops and abused them with vulgar words. A video of the incident had gone viral on social media platforms.
