Bengaluru: A 74-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run case after a speeding car knocked her down in Mattikere in Yeshwanthpur traffic police station limits.
The deceased, Yeliamma Jacob, was a resident of Mattikere. The police said that the she had gone to the church on Friday morning and was walking home after the prayer. As she was crossing the road, the car knocked her down and sped away. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries.
The Yeshwanthpur traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused driver.
