Hyderabad: Police investigating the case against CID superintendent of police (SP) Kishan Singh for allegedly stalking a woman working as a senior accountant in TSSPDCL stated that they were pursuing the case on priority but needed more concrete evidence.
Based on her complaint, they had filed a case (630/2023) under Section 354 (D) (stalking) on July 30, . The next day, a technical team of Chaitanyapuri police collected his voice messages, videos and Whatsapp messages that he had purportedly sent to her, police sources disclosed.
“We need to verify the victim's statement and most important is whether the SIM card used by the officer was in his name or not,” an officer said, on condition of anonymity.
Police are waiting for reports from FSL where they had sent the technical evidence. The IT cell will be collecting CDR records of both the accused and the complainant and cross-check them, he said.
