HYDERABAD: Thirty six-year-old N. Lakhan, working for a bike aggregator, was run over by a sand-laden truck at Kachiguda crossroads late on Thursday night at a traffic signal. He was on his way towards Kachiguda railway station to deliver a parcel at the time of the incident.
Sultan Bazar police station house officer K. Muthu said that Lakhan’s vehicle skidded while attempting to overtake the truck, and he came under the truck’s wheels. Lakhan died on the spot, said Muthu. Lakhan is survived by his wife and three children.
Police said the truck halted at the red signal at Kacheguda crossroads. Lakhan passed the truck from the right, lost control and fell down. Simultaneously the signal turned green and the truck started. Police registered a case against the truck driver and started an investigation.
