HYDERABAD: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials questioned casino organiser Chikoti Praveen Kumar, his associate Madhav Reddy and others on the second consecutive day on Tuesday in connection with their hawala transactions.
The ED officials questioned Praveen Kumar for a couple of hours at the ED office located at Basheerbagh and tried to get information about his illegal activities.
After finishing the questioning, Praveen Kumar said that he cooperated with the investigation by giving suitable answers. He said his social media accounts were created by unknown persons who posted videos and photos on Facebook, Twitter and others.
"I will lodge a complaint with Hyderabad cybercrime police against those who created false accounts on social networking sites. I will cooperate with the investigation agency during the investigation," Praveen Kumar said.
Later, the ED officials grilled Madhav Reddy and Sampath for their financial transactions with Praveen Kumar. They initiated a probe under Foreign Exchange and Management Act in connection with their hawala transactions. It is learnt that the agency found that some political leaders, VVIPs, actors from Tollywood and Bollywood have nexus with Praveen Kumar in connection with financial transactions.
