Hyderabad: A woman attacked her husband and killed him late on Wednesday night at Erragadda. “Swarnlata and Bhairah had been married since 2013 and had a fight, following which Swarnlata picked up a stone and attacked her husband,” said sub-inspector of SR Nagar police station G. Ajay Kumar.
Bharaiah, 33, worked as a technician and the couple stayed near Don Bosco school at Erragadda. “On Wednesday night, they got into a quarrel at around 11 pm during which Bharaiah levelled accusations against her. This continued till about 1 am and at around 3 am, she went outside and got a stone, with which she attacked Bhairah while he was asleep,” said the official.
According to Mr Kumar, Swarnlata has been sent for medical examination as they suspect her to be her mentally unstable.
“She is undergoing treatment for some mental problems at private hospitals and thus, we are assessing her state with the help of psychologists,” said the official. The couple has a four-and-a-half year old daughter.
A case has been registered against Swarnlata at SR Nagar police station under relevant Sections of the IPC.
