Srinath climbs wrong pole, suffers jolt and crashes to the ground.

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old lineman, previously working for Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), was electrocuted while repairing a damaged wire on an electric pole in Indiranagar on Monday.

The deceased, Srinath, who hailed from Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), worked earlier for Bescom on contract. He was attending a private call to repair damaged wires, when he was killed.

Around 3 pm on Monday, Srinath went to repair a damaged wire on 12th B Main and climbed the pole after shutting down the power supply of that line. But he accidentally climbed a different electric pole with live wires, suffered a jolt and crashed to the ground, the police said.
