Hyderabad: Drug racket phones sent for analysis
Hyderabad: The special task force of the excise and prohibition department arrested three persons belonging to a drug gang on Saturday night. The gang was targeting schools and colleges.
“We can’t reveal the names of the victims and school names. We are sending the three arrested persons to judicial custody and later we will take them into our custody for investigation,” director of the enforcement wing of the excise and prohibition department Akun Sabharwal said. He said mobile phones taken from the arrested persons have been sent for analysis. So far the STF has identified 21 VIPs who have connections with the racket and has questioned nine. Mr Sabharwal said that LSD is sold as tablets, capsules and liquid. It is added to absorbent paper and divided into small squares. Each square is a dose and it is one of the most potent mood-changing chemicals.
“People can experience terrifying feelings, fear of losing control, fear of insanity, death and despair while using LSD,” he said.
MDMA, commonly known as Ecstasy is a recreational drug, he said. “It causes increased empathy, euphoria, and heightened sensations... a general sense of well-being and decreased anxiety. In addition, users report enhanced sensory perception.”
