Kothagudem: The police administration took up the issue of gambling in a farmhouse in Dammapet mandal in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district and issued a charge memo to Aswaraopet circle inspector Upender and Dammapet sub-inspector Sravan Kumar on Monday.
Deccan Chronicle had exclusively reported on the gambling on Monday, alleged seizure of Rs 30 lakh in a raid and the police not filing a case on it (Nexus between gamblers, cops in Kothagudem).
The DC report went viral in WhatsApp groups of police officers. Higher officials, who took up the issue, issued a charge memo to the circle inspector and sub-inspector.
