Hyderabad: A 30-year-old person was arrested by the SR Nagar police on Thursday and charged under the POCSO Act for misbehaving with an 11-year-old girl.
According to the police officials the girl along with her family had moved into a new house two days ago. Their old house was near the new one.
A police official said that, “According to the complaint filed by the girl’s family, on Thursday morning, the girl went to the new house on some work. The family hadn’t quite moved into the new house yet so the house was empty and the girl was alone there. Then the accused, M. Ram Prasad, who is the home owner and also owns a marble shop misbehaved with the minor girl.”
Police officials at the the SR nagar police station have said that they have registered a case under the POCSO Act and further investigation is underway. The accused has been taken into custody.
